We stayed at this hotel for 10 days and overall, it was a positive experience. Here’s a breakdown: **Room**: The bed was very comfortable, and there was enough space for our 2-year-old son to play around, which was a big plus. However, the CR (comfort room) was a bit small, which might be something to consider for families with little ones. **Service**: Unfortunately, the service didn’t live up to expectations. The front desk staff wasn’t as accommodating as we hoped, and the person who helped us with our luggage during check-out was somewhat rude. On the bright side, we had a wonderful experience with Ghemma, the housekeeper on our floor. She was always friendly, accommodating, and ensured our room was kept spotless. She made a big difference in our stay. **Location**: This hotel’s location is fantastic! It has easy access to the beach and is within walking distance to many attractions. Perfect for those looking to explore the area. Before arriving, I was a bit nervous due to reading some negative reviews, but after our stay, I can confidently say it was generally a good experience. With some improvements in customer service and more accommodating staff, this place could be great!
The room was exceptionally clean and modern, creating a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating, making the overall experience very pleasant. The resort offers a variety of engaging activities that allow guests to experience authentic Hawaiian culture. A convenient ABC store is located next to the elevator, perfect for quick purchases. Each night, live music performances at the pool area create a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. While the ambiance is vibrant and entertaining, it’s worth noting that the pool bar is quite expensive. Overall, the resort provides a memorable and enriching stay.
My husband and I stayed in the Alohilani resort for 7 days and honestly it was ok. The resort itself is nice don't get me wrong but the rooms are mid. The beds and VERY uncomfortable in my opinion and the bathrooms are VERY small as well. I've never slept to uncomfortable at a hotel. Unfortunately I was counting down the last days to head back to my own bed which is not the way I expected to feel since it was our first time in Hawaii. The cleaning service was also not that great. You can tell they just came in here, threw the towels and barely even did the bed. They also come at very unpredictable times. We would come back up like at 5pm to get ready for dinner and they would come knock within minutes. Which was pretty annoying cause we then felt rushed to get out. The only thing I think they were quick and good with was with the valet. But yeah, for sure won't be coming back here. It wasn't the worst but definitely also not the best!

We truly appreciated her calm demeanor and attention to detail. 💕 Palette – Guest Team Manager A huge mahalo to Palette for organizing the most heartwarming honeymoon suite welcome! She ensured that our room was beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches that made us feel celebrated and cared for. Her dedication to creating a memorable experience made our arrival unforgettable. 🎉 Dana Freimane – Guest Team Dana worked alongside Palette to coordinate the honeymoon decor in our suite. The surprise when we walked in was so special—it brought tears to our eyes! Dana’s attention to detail and coordination made the space feel magical and personal. It meant so much to us. 🌺 James – Cultural Activities Guide One of the most enriching highlights of our trip was participating in the hotel’s Hawaiian cultural experiences led by James. He is an amazing instructor, storyteller, and person. From hula lessons to lei-making, James brought the spirit of Hawaii to life. His deep knowledge and passion for Hawaiian history and culture left a lasting impression on us—we learned, laughed, and left inspired. 🍽️ Micah – Longboard Club & Longboard Restaurant Dining at the Longboard Club and restaurant was always a pleasure, especially thanks to our waiter Micah. He was incredibly attentive, warm, and genuine. Whether it was remembering our preferences or offering thoughtful recommendations, he made every meal feel intimate and special. 🏖️ Overall Hotel Experience The ʻAlohilani Resort was everything we dreamed of and more. The location is unbeatable—right across from Waikiki Beach—with stunning ocean views, modern amenities, and a tranquil ambiance perfect for newlyweds. The rooms were spacious and serene, the infinity pool was a dream, and the service was top-tier throughout our stay. We felt celebrated, cared for, and part of something special. Ive stayed at a number of higher end resorts in Waikiki, We booked through Amex, definitely loved the perks. I have to say I loved my stay at Alohilani the most. Its all new, clean and modern. I havent eaten a single meal yet that hasnt been amazing. The food at SWELL pool is top notch! Bao bun Karage, Steak wraps, the kids couldnt get enough of the fries. Danica was our pool server multiple days, she did an amazing job with service and very attentive. I found the prices quite reasonable for such a nice resort, strange anomoly considering its on waikiki. Rooms are modern, smelled fresh, very clean, beds are so comfortable, AC is powerful! Location right next to the lagoon/beach. The Longboard lounge was fantastic for breakfast and evening meals. William the chef and other servers super attentive and accomodating. Overall I definitely recommend this resort, my favorite spot in Waikiki, hard to beat.
