We stopped in to watch the Black Rock cliff diver and for a bite. Having stayed at this Sheraton several years ago, we were excited to share the experience with our kids. We were lucky enough to get a table with a great view of the rock. Our server was fantastic, unfortunately the food was not. We ordered chicken wings and nachos. The wings were tasty, but a bit rubbery and the nachos had the cheese sauce I though they only served at movie theatres and sports games. Super disappointing for this caliber of hotel. They are saved by the amazing view.

Great Egg Benedict and breakfast buffet, but don't leave you food unattended 😀

I have nearly 200 contributions to Google reviews/maps, and 90%+ of the time give five stars. Black Rock is not one of those five star ratings. The food was overpriced. The food was not good. The appetizer was a crab cake that was poor quality and was in a bed of the same tartar sauce you would find at a McDonald's. The steak and blue catch of the day (fish) were both overcooked (despite ordering a medium-rate steak). Our server was friendly, which is why there's at least two stars in my review. I eat out at restaurants -- A LOT. This is the same price as Merriman's, but way worse. I will not be returning.

A solid place to have dinner - the shrimp was quite good and the wedge salad was nicely done. The service was quite good. The menu has a good variety of offerings but not a lot of anything in particular. They could do to be a bit more upscale, as the setting is pretty informal.

The breakfast here is really, really good, although unfortunately it isn't quite as good of late, it still merits five stars. Lots of fresh fruit, made to order options, waffle bar, and freshly squeezed juice make it an amazing start to the day. Dinner options are pricey, but the menu is good and it is very convenient if you are staying at the resort.
