We had an great experience at Deck before our hike to Diamond Head! The restaurant offers stunning views of the crater, which made for the perfect start to our day. Unfortunately, it was a windy day, so we couldn’t sit outside, but the indoor seating still had a great atmosphere and amazing views. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious.
A big shoutout to the friendly front desk staff who help us arrange a cab to our destination.

Found the closest breakfast place nearest the hotel and found the deck. Lovely view of Diamondhead mountain while having breakfast was quite nice and if you’re closest to the balcony, you can also see the water. Try the beef over rice with egg on top dish which was great and for a sweet treat tried the favorite coconut covered Deep Dish Haupia French toast. Definitely worth a try if you are a sweet tooth type. I liked the place. I would go back although not a huge variety on the menu but location views make up for it. If only they had an espresso machine only had their black coffee.

Food was absolutely fantastic.
However lack of staff almost ruins the dining experience. We were lucky to have an early reservation where food came out pretty quick, but people around us were waiting extremely long just to get their drink orders in. Just get staffed up and this place would be running like a well oiled machine.

Quick stop for drinks and view.
Host and server seemed hated their job, not a good vibe for customers.
Mai Thai tasted funny, at least beer was cold.
One thing must be pointed out, female restroom was filthy! Toilet paper all over the floor. Unacceptable.
Two stars for Diamond Head.

If you’re looking for a brunch spot that delivers both stunning views and delicious food, Deck. in Waikiki is a must-visit. Nestled on the 3rd floor of the Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel, this open-air restaurant offers one of the most picturesque backdrops you’ll find in Honolulu—Diamond Head in full, unobstructed view while you sip your mimosa.
The vibe is casual chic with a touch of island luxury. It’s the kind of place where you could show up in a sundress or something breezy and feel right at home. The service is friendly and relaxed, matching the mellow brunch energy you want when you’re on island time.
The menu has all the classics but with an elevated, local twist. Think taro pancakes with lilikoi butter, loco moco with a gourmet touch, and perfectly poached eggs with fresh island greens. The portions are generous, the coffee is strong, and the cocktails? Absolutely brunch-worthy.
Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to treat yourself, Deck. is the kind of place that makes a simple brunch feel like a mini vacation. Highly recommend going early to grab a spot near the railing—the view is everything.
