My wife and I stayed in this small resort for 2 nights in Hana. The view from the room was incredible overlooking a small beach which was a short walk to watch the sunrise. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms are large and clean. There is no AC so it was a little hot around bed time but with the screens on the door and balcony it cooled down very quickly. Everyone was very respectful and it was a peaceful place to spend two nights.

This was one of the wonderful experience. This resort is located right on the pacific and by the black beach. What a great view - you can spent countless hours seating on the balcony. Highly recommend.
There are a lot of food truck located within few miles.

I absolutely loved this resort! Everything was perfect, starting with the clear instructions for late check-in guests. The location of the resort, the room with a fully equipped kitchen, the spacious beds ideal for a family of four, and the amazing balcony in the corner unit where we stayed were all exceptional. If I have the chance to visit again, I will definitely choose to stay here!

We wanted a place to stay after driving to Hana, so we didn't have to drive back the same day. When looking for places to stay, the Hana Kai Maui Resort was one of the more highly rated places. We were a bit apprehensive about staying at a place with no A/C, but the price and location were both right. The condo was well appointed, the bed was comfortable, and the design of the unit allowed a nice breeze to flow through the unit all night. I'm not sure how it would be during the summer, but for our fall visit, it was great. The lady who checked us in and out was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. We would stay here again if we're ever in the area.

The rooms are a little 1980s dated and smell damp and musty because the windows and doors are open to the ocean. But it really is quite lovely with the views and the fresh air. Anything that’s metal is rusted in the room, including the hinges and the tall rods, the hangersand everything. But it’s easy to overlook the rust and the musty smell because of the views and the beautiful location. You can walk right down to the black rock Beach and enjoy a breathtaking view of the bay.
