A Memorable Fine Dining Experience at Herringbone Waikiki Our family had the pleasure of dining at Herringbone Waikiki on a picturesque Waikiki evening. The restaurant, perched on the top floor of the International Market Place, is a sensory delight from the moment you arrive. Its spacious layout and elegant décor create a refined yet welcoming atmosphere, perfectly blending sophistication and comfort. Multiple dining areas and an inviting bar further enhance the charm of this establishment. The menu offers a good selection of dishes that reflect the creativity and skill of the culinary team. While the portions align with fine dining standards, the flavors more than make up for their modest size. We sampled the island burger & fries, the Big Glory Bay King Salmon (beware of its unexpected spiciness—no warnings on the menu!), the Whole Fish (an artful presentation), the Pulehu Chicken, and the Potato Crusted Tuna. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted and presented, leaving a lasting impression. However, the true highlight of Herringbone Waikiki for us was the exceptional ambiance. The harmonious design and atmosphere elevate the dining experience beyond the food itself, making it a destination worth revisiting. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience in Waikiki, Herringbone delivers exquisite dishes paired with an unforgettable setting. Highly recommended.

Beautiful inside, I got to sit so I could watch the kitchen which I love. Staff was super friendly but you could tell they were in the weeds, appeared to be staffing issues since it wasn't terribly busy. But service was still fast and the food was incredible. Not to be dramatic, but the mussels Tikka masala may have changed my entire life. I think I saw God. Fantastic evening.

Lovely location with a great ambience. We loved all of our food. Apps: octopus and tuna tacos. Everything was delicious. We also ordered salmon (fantastic green curry sauce), the tuna, lobster roll, and black cod. The kitchen was also incredibly accommodating as we had someone with a high gluten intolerance. They served all the sauces on the side. Stefan was the best waiter and always ensured that we were doing well. Loved the service and entire vibe of this place. Photos are of the tuna and cod.

I want to start off by saying I USE To LOVE Herringbone. For years they were a go to spot to take family and friends for a nice dinner, date night or brunch. Over the last 6 months I have been here three times twice for brunch and once for dinner. Every time becomes more disappointing than the last. This past weekend for brunch I ordered the eggs Benedict. The menu described it as follows: Lobster, smoked trout roe, bernaise, poached egg, hash browns, spinach, bacon. Priced at $34 I was expecting greatness. I was meet with a tiny amount of lobster maybe 1-2 oz and over cooked eggs. I’m happy to pay for quality product. But these are the cheap has browns you buy 20 in a box for $7, two strips of bacon cut in half’s two over cooked eggs and smoked trout roe to can get a large container of at Tamara’s for $14 your better off making this dish at home. Our waiter was above amazing offering to speak to the chief who didn’t seem to think anything was worn. Our server even offered to pay out of pocket for more lobster. I declined !! I would never want a waiter to pay out of pocket for anything they are there to make money. The last dinner I had here several weeks ago I hade friends in town visiting and our food was ok but nothing overly notable. Our favorite dish was the buffalo grilled octopus. I think there chief is riding off the name of the AOKI brand because it’s surely not there talent. Save your money and go a few restaurants down to strip steak of cook at home. I will not be returning until the menu gets an update and they get a new chief everyone is our group had the same feelings.

The atmosphere is outstanding, and the service is friendly. However, the food portions are very small—I was still hungry after my dish, which included one piece fish, three pieces of bok choy, and a few small shrimp dumplings. The price is somewhat high for the amount of food served, and the $60 wagyu beef is just beef slices, comes with no greens or potatoes.
