I recently stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and while it had some great aspects, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The location is fantastic—right on Waikiki Beach with beautiful views and easy access to shops and restaurants. The lagoon is a nice touch, especially for families with kids.
However, the resort itself feels overcrowded and a bit dated. The check-in process was slow, and the staff, while polite, seemed overwhelmed. The rooms were comfortable but not particularly special for the price. Housekeeping was hit or miss, and some areas of the hotel could use a refresh.
Dining options were decent but overpriced, which is expected at a resort. Be prepared for long waits at most restaurants. The pools were nice but often packed, making it hard to find a good spot.
Overall, it’s not a bad place to stay, but for the high price and large crowds, I expected a more polished experience. If you’re looking for a true Hawaiian getaway, there may be better options.
Would I stay here again? Maybe, but I’d explore other resorts first.

Hotel rooms are comfy, but had to walk to our hotel building since it was literally a village of hotels. Great view that I got, some of my other friends got the view of parking lot. Plenty restaurants to choose from. Waikiki is just outside, able to walk and explore. Lots of tourists, it was spring break so it was expected.

This property is old and extremely outdated. Very poor amenities. Half the stuff is broken. The restaurant is of poor quality food. The whole place looks like its stuck in the 80's. Don't waste your hard earned money here. Hilton Grand Vacations are awful. Don't ever buy anything from these thieves if they get you suckered in for a meeting for one of the prizes, you can't trust anything that comes out of the sales person's mouth. And Hilton will not honor or value the customer.

Don’t book here. The location sucks it’s nestled by the boat harbor with many sleeping homeless on sidewalks. Ocean view rooms are misleading. You view the ilikai and we saw a couple having sex on their balcony. Mind you, we have two children below 5 on the balcony as well. The workers are on strike and are disrupting the peace and happiness of being on vacation. The hotel is not accommodating paying customers. No housekeeping, no towels, no bedding, no shampoo. By far the worst experience.

You book a vacation package well in advance, Hilton employees go on strike and no mention of it prior to arriving. No services, no room cleaning, get your own towels and, bathroom supplies. Broken appliances that we asked to fix and nothing happened. Kept seeing ants in the rooms, likely from no cleaning services. We asked for a crib when we booked the package got here and they couldn’t provide one. Employees that are on strike are picketing everywhere and are very loud. Not the luxurious grand vacation with exceptional service and pleasant stay that Hilton claims they provide. Worst hotel stay that we’ve ever had.
