We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. The rooms were spacious well kept and had a great view. We had an ocean view while my mother had a mountain view. Both looked amazing. For anyone staying here they do have hair dryers, fridge, coffee, etc but it's all put away and hidden.
The access it has to all things Waikiki is great including the beach. Highly recommend!

The staff is nice, I mean we mostly experienced the valet drivers. Speaking of which parking is $55 a day and $70 for oversized vehicles. You don’t have a choice!
Overall the hotel is not at all what I expected from a Hilton. The bathrooms are poorly designed, the shower spread water EVERYWHERE. The balcony windows don’t block the street noise at all. you hear everything from outside. also extraordinarily cheap toilet paper. I noticed a lot of military personnel stay here, they can’t provide them with some Charmin? Seriously? One ply?
The amenities in the room are terrible. The WiFi is terrible. The TV is useless, there is nothing you can do with it unless you have DVDs. You can hear the other rooms turn on the water. If you like airplane noise the AC will do you justice.
No idea how they are considered a 4 star hotel.

Struggling a bit with this review because this is simply not a 4-star hotel nor what we expect from Hilton.
Where to start!?
Valet parking - the valet parking crew is AMAZING. They are quick, efficient (with the only exception being the time lag that it took get our bags to the room), helpful, and friendly. We were greeted warmly every time. The down side? If you have a vehicle, it's $55/night to park. And there are no other viable options.
Front desk staff was hit or miss. The most disappointing experience is when I brought the cockroach (the size of my thumb) that we found in our room to their attention. She shrugged and told me that it was Hawaii and to keep the sliding door closed.
We paid extra for an ocean view room which means when the hotel on the next block had live music, so did we. It also ended meaning that we didn't have a sunset view because of another hotel on the block between us and the ocean. Note: Other rooms may have been able to see the sunset.
The lobby was akin to a minefield due to the overzealous gal at the 'tour' desk who roped us in with a sell for the time share property that Hilton is building on the other side of Waikiki. She was impervious to any form of the word no. At least the magicians who approached us frequently were pleasant and didn't take up a lot of our time.
Our room on the 23rd floor was okay. That's it. Just okay. There's no mistaking that this is an old property that has been redone with the bare minimum effort. The outlet in one of the bedside lamps didn't work and several other outlets didn't have a tight fit for plugs. The windows in the bathroom are just weird; especially the one by the toilet. As others have noted, the rooms do not have a microwave and we didn't find out about renting one ($50) until well into our 9-day stay.
We did find out that the hotel has a coin-operated laundry - something which I could not find on the website.
The first night of our stay was interrupted by a fire alarm which was made a bit more troubling because we not understand what was being announced over the speakers. There were a lot of confused folks in the hallway wondering what to do. Of course, the front desk was overwhelmed with calls and we couldn't get through to get more information.
The pool area was nice and was kept tidy no matter the hour that we entered. The hot tub runs hot; I would guess about 106F at a minimum. There is no thermometer present, which seems odd to me.
Another curious note was that in order to use the handicap lift, you had to go the front desk every time which is not something I could do easily as I was in a walking boot and walking with a cane. It was just easier to carefully navigate the stairs. If you are handicapped, I would not recommend this hotel at all.
Actually, I would not recommend this hotel period.

The hotel is in a vibrant location, the staff is pleasant, and the rooms are mostly well-equipped. The reason for the poor review is because everything about this, doesn’t compare to what I’ve come to expect from Hilton. There’s no microwave in the room, and it costs $50 to have one brought to your room. The valet parking is $50 a day, the continental breakfast is $29. The idea of a hotel claiming a four-star experience, while also not offering a complimentary breakfast, nor a microwave in the room is extremely disappointing. I’d personally recommend finding something a bit further from the strip for a better experience, the public transit in Honolulu is extremely affordable, and easy to navigate as a tourist.

We stayed 7 nights and the hotel room was in so much disrepair. The furniture was old the mattresses were horrible. I asked for them to add a pillow top mattress pad to make it better. I don't think they did because it was just as bad, we ended up sleeping on top of the duvet and it was still bad. My 23 and 25 year old kids complained about the bed and they can sleep almost anywhere. We also reserved a queen bed room and got full size beds. The doors wouldn't close on the cabinet, so we called to them to be fixed. They really never got fixed, they were somewhat better. The refrigerator froze everything. The water at the bathroom sink was scalding, thank goodness we were all adults and no kids in the room. The soap lotion, shampoo were OK if you like a man's soap smell. The person who cleaned our room was nice, but she did not understand much English so she wanted to clean when we weren't ready in the morning, then when I told we were, she wanted to wait until we came back. I was almost always asking for more towels. The carpet was like walking on rough asphalt. The couch at the end of the hall was worn out. There was dust on the lamp by my bed, it never got cleaned off even after I went to the front desk to complain. At least once I called the front desk and they didn't answer for a couple hours, so I called the bell desk and they said the front desk is busy. Call later. The furniture in the lobby was pretty worn too. Also the person who checked us out never asked how are stay was, I have never stayed anywhere in the last 50 years that someone has never asked how our stay was, guess they don't ask because they don't want to know. We visit Hawaii 1-2 weeks a year and I will never stay here again.
The good parts are the Pink trolly picks up in front of the hotel, the 2 guys we met that promoted the Magic show were very nice and helpful, one even offered to loan me his umbrella when it rained. The Bellman were nice an efficient and dropped our bags off quickly and took them down when we left quickly. Concierge was not as nice, but the lady from the Timeshare desk was helpful.
The ABC store was across the street.
If you are used to staying in a very low end hotel this is probably for you, but if you are use to staying in a nice hotel that Hilton usually provides, this isn't for you. I was surprised this even had it's name on this property, because I have never stayed in a Hilton this bad.
We did not eat at the hotel so I can't say how the food was.
