We ate twice at this Kono’s…both times delicious! The first time we shared the Old School. It is voted the best on the island for a reason!!! And the chips that went with it were just as awesome! The second time we shared the Pork sliders and Big Pig Quesadilla!!! YUM!!! You can finish your meal with a Dole Whip, which is equally amazing! This place did not disappoint!
We ordered the old school sandwich, it was really delicious. I would recommend ordering to take out. The order came out really fast. I would definitely recommend it to anyone:)
They are BUSY! Once I got my food, it made total sense. I got the Queens Bomber, and it was great. I'm a big eater, and it was more than enough to fill me up AND hopefully fuel me through our hike for the day. Great flavor and textures to the meat. Eggs were scrambled perfectly. It was really, really good. Seems like ample seating to sit out on the planters and the few tabls and chairs. Would recommend!
I ordered two Waimea Bombers (egg, potato, cheese, bacon breakfast burrito), but one had only one slice of barely cooked/chewy bacon (the second had a good amount (2-3 pieces) of cooked bacon)! And it’s takeout only, so there was nothing I could really do once I got home and discovered it. Very disappointing for a $18 breakfast.
We saw the line up at breakfast so thought we’d try for lunch. Unbelievable hula bbq pork. We got the quesadillas and the street tacos. I thought my tacos were killer then I tried my husband’s quesadilla. Dayummmm. The quesadilla knocked it out of the park with the combination of heat with the jalapeño and sweet in the bbq sauce, all with the perfect amount of melted cheese. Sooooo good.
