Celebrated 6 years of friendship on a trip to Honolulu with my best friend. Our server, Elvis, was great! So kind & even brought us a surprise dessert with “Happy Anniversary” on it. So sweet! Dinner was very good & super filling. We sat inside on the second floor, but peeked upstairs at the rooftop. The rooftop seemed to be more crowded & a little more rowdy. But indoors was perfect, with the windows open & light music, the atmosphere was perfect
My family and I make a reservation here every time we are in town. We are request to sit outside because we love to take in the views of Waikiki. The restaurant itself actually sits atop the rooftop of the store so you get a nice view of the city streets and buildings. It's a great place to people watch and relax as you are waiting for your drinks and food. The service is prompt and friendly. The servers are great at recommending items if you are unsure, but everything we have tried has tasted great. They have plenty to choose from and how can you go wrong when you're already in Hawaii. If you're in the area and looking for a place to eat I would recommend going here.
Five Stars – A True Island Escape! We had an incredible dining experience at Tommy Bahama! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt like a relaxed tropical getaway. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — the coconut shrimp and filet mignon were standouts. Cocktails were perfectly mixed, and the island vibe made the whole evening feel like a vacation. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a mix of upscale dining and laid-back coastal charm. We’ll definitely be back!
I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Tommy Bahama in Honolulu, and I must say, every dish I tried was beyond incredible. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and the presentation was stunning. The breaded fish with asparagus and rice was cooked to perfection – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the sauce tied it all together beautifully. The crab cakes were packed with flavor, and the accompanying slaw added a refreshing crunch. The spring rolls were delightfully crispy and paired wonderfully with the dipping sauce. And the coconut shrimp? Absolutely divine – crispy, flavorful, and paired with a perfect touch of sweetness. The quality of the food and the overall dining experience exceeded all my expectations. I’m beyond satisfied and can confidently say this was one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Honolulu!
Sitting outside up above Beach Walk was the right choice. Nice breeze, interesting city view. Here's a statement I never thought I'd write: "You have to try the rice. It's that good." It was a part of both our dishes: Sea Bass $46 and Thai Shrimp/scallops $44. I suggest making a reservation to save yourself a long wait, especially on weekends.
