Absolutely liked everything about this resort. From delicious dining options to cozy rooms with stunning views, everything exceeded my expectations. It’s walkable too. You have so many things to explore around and don’t even need a car. We will def be back
A dream. 5/5!! Did I mention the beach is located outside the door? 😍 Beautiful building. Beautiful views from patio of room, beautiful amenities. Loved having the option of two pools. One for sunbathing and ocean/sunset view, other was a regular pool. Right on the marina and next to the lagoon and beach in the backyard!! Aloha coffee downstairs in the lobby is amazing and they have breakfast available ! The staff at resort were friendly and amazing. Carissa and Tara were great. Housekeeping did wonderful! It was nice having a full kitchen available in the room to make coffee, smoothies and to cook! Laundry on every floor. Bed was huge and comfortable. Located very conveniently by bus stops, a gorgeous park across the way to walk through, stores, restaurants and bars all nearby. Beach right outside!! Lobby decorated for holidays. Very cute. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.
After checkout, realizing I had inadvertently left behind three hats, I returned later in the day to reclaim them, with only four hours remaining before I had to leave for the airport. Two of those hats were of no consequence but one of them had been a Christmas gift from my now-deceased father, a fact I ensured they were aware, along with the time crunch I was under. Rather than sending someone to check the room immediately — I even told them exactly where to look (on top of the TV stand) — I was informed the cleaning staff had already left and they had not reported anything found in the room. I was asked for my phone number but didn't have phone service while on vacation (data only) so I offered my email address instead, stressing that I would be leaving the island that day. Two days later, I received a phone call from the resort front desk, stating my hats had been found and I could have them shipped through ileftmystuff.com, a "service" that would charge me $180 to ship items that should have been handed to me while I was at the hotel to get them. I was there as part of a timeshare promotion, so it surprised me that the hotel itself was okay but not spectacular. There was often a noticeable howl inside the room, cause by inadequate weather stripping between the patio doors and around the air conditioning wall unit. The view from the room was also okay, albeit looking over city streets, giving us a bird's eye view of emergency vehicles and personnel as they searched a building under alarm across the street. The location was fine; after all, it was in Honolulu and that is never a /bad/ thing. All that said, and especially considering how they handled my concerns after checkout, do yourself a favor and choose somewhere else.
Terrible. We were supposed to stay at another wyndham property that could not accommodate us and sent us here. Room looked like that of a cheap roadside motel where I live. Cabinet door off/hanging, no decoration, old chipped furniture and walls. Loud a/c that made it cold by the couch but hot by the bed. No access to fitness room and other amenities because Wyndham does not own the whole property. I have never paid a security deposit for Wyndham as an owner but here 250.00 for a room I would not let my pet stay in let alone owners paying huge fees. Also they made me pay Hawaii tax up front instead of just taking it out of the security so my credit card won't release it ( or holds longer because it shows as unsettled). Major credit card too from Chase bank but when I called about it the manager was raising his voice and unhelpful saying banks don't work that way and have the bank call if an issue. Total lack of empathy. I am a long time owner who stayed in many Wyndhams. This is nowhere near acceptable. The check in people were nice and the location good but rooms are outdated, falling apart and filthy. Service was OK but very limited amenities. I could not get help with bags, no baggage cart, as previous people did not return to office which is a bit of a walk from entrance and tucked away in back. I ended up paying the hotel guy to borrow the hotels luggage cart and to help me (as required by hotel). Concierge is gone most of the time. If I am an owner as you say, I should not be treated like a hotel guest and have to pay security deposits for something I own. Parking is outrageous if you a car, I did not. No dishwashers. Who wants to wash dishes. I want sterilized dishes from a dishwasher. In hindsight, I would have been better off sleeping on the floor in the first room (we were three and there was no couch. Wyndham assured me a couch was mandatory in all the units, not true but that's another story). Worst experience ever. Ruined my first day of vacation. I cried. My friends were upset. One friends first time in Honolulu and it was ruined. You shouldn't be crying out of frustration on vacation. Please stay away. My room looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Except for the check in staff, it is awful.
The room is very dated and all appliances are old. When you enter it’s a nice lobby because they share it with Ilikai hotel but the check in counter is stowed away in a corner which gives motel vibes. We stayed for six nights and there is no room service. They promise a full kitchen but there is no dish soap or dishwasher. It’s close to Ala Moana Center but a good 25 minutes walk to the main Waikiki beach area. I would not stay here again.
