In one word: Amazing.
It has been a shame that I was born and raised a mile and a half away and only recently “discovered” this gem on a visit home. We enjoyed our first visit so much it, we made reservations again a few nights later!
The service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They asked questions regarding our taste palette and brought out dishes they thought we would enjoy.
On our second visit, they remembered us, our drink and food preferences, and it made us feel valued and prioritized.
We have dined at multiple Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe and five-star restaurants across the country and Hawaii… Wasabi Bistro is by far the top of our list when it comes to our best dining experience.
We can’t wait to return!

Worth the time for waiting! We had to make appointment to get a seat at last available slot, but totally worth it! Raw seafood is very delicious and fresh. I can taste the little sweet from the scallop. They also serve a couple of unique dish. For example, the baked papaya get it's taste into seafood. Very good！environment is good too. Feels like a real Japanese restaurant. Highly recommend restaurant in Waikiki. Not easy for parking. We walked to this restaurant.

This is a splurge that is well worth it. This place is so great that the couple sitting next to us came here 3 times on their current vacation just to keep eating their sushi. Do not leave Waikiki without visiting this place! The fish is fresh, the service is amazing, and the ambiance is upscale as a hole-in-the-wall place. The papaya appetizer was incredible, as was the sashimi.

A Michelin star experience without the price! Everything was phenomenal. It felt like we were in Japan.
We ate, we drank, we laughed, and we left more satisfied than expected even though expectations were high from the reviews!
Do yourself a favor and make make plans to sit down at this humble restaurant.
I recommend it though the roof.

During my son’s spring break, my family visited Oahu Island, and for the last two nights, we ended up dining at Wasabi Bistro near Waikiki Beach. At first, we planned to try a few different restaurants, but after our first meal there, we loved it so much that we decided to come back the next evening. It was such a wonderful experience! The restaurant really shows how much care they put into everything. The food was fresh, flavorful, and had a lot of heart behind it. What made it even better was the warmth and kindness of the staff—they made us feel like we were right at home, enjoying a meal prepared by people who truly care about us. The whole vibe of the place was cozy, welcoming, and comforting. If you're in the Waikiki Beach area, I highly recommend stopping by Wasabi Bistro!
